In preparation for Timo’s surgery, Bjorn took up the two once more, this time setting many alarms in case he failed to remember to set a single one of them. Fortunately, the treatment went smoothly, and the surgeon assured Teresa that it was highly likely that Timo would restore his entire sense of hearing after the procedure. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. It seemed like Timo’s life was finally getting back to normal.

Nobody expected Bjorn to stay around for the long haul once Timo’s operation was over, but he paid frequent visits to the young child while he was recovering, bringing him modest gifts and sweets along with him to keep him company.
