Naturally, this set people’s heads running, with some people’s imaginations getting the better of them as a result. Because metal is uncommonly found throughout the Great Pyramid, some people interpreted its existence as evidence that extraterrestrials were involved in its construction. Those metal pegs would’ve been used to generate energy for the extraterrestrials, according to their imaginations.

Then, in 2002, experts went back to the drawing board to try to find out what the door was supposed to do or symbolize.
