The Yellow Tape
As they got closer to the spot where they usually fed the ducks, they saw that the area was cordoned off with yellow tape. There were police officers standing guard, and a few people were gathered around, whispering to each other. Jack’s dad told him to stay put while he went to find out what was going on.

Jack watched as his dad approached the police officers and talked to them. He couldn’t hear what they were saying, but he could tell from the look on his dad’s face that something was wrong. After a few minutes, his dad walked back over to him and told him they needed to leave.
