Casting directors have a difficult job because performers are the foundation of any television show or film. If they hire the incorrect individual, the production suffers, they may lose their job, and the box office suffers. In a way, just a small number of people witness the masterpiece, and they spend a lot of money without recouping much of their investment.

The problem is that casting directors are human, and as such, they are going to make mistakes. They’ve proven time and again that they can choose the perfect person for the position, but they’ve also made awful decisions that make people question what they were thinking. The following are the actors who did not belong:

1. Cameron Diaz – Jenny Everdeen

Cameron Diaz was cast in the role of an Irish pickpocket/prostitute in Gangs of New York, but she paled in comparison to Leonardo DiCaprio and Daniel Day-Lewis. Her accent was shaky, she lacked dramatic zeal, and she was largely a humorous actress.

2. Jesse Eisenberg – Lex Luthor

People wanted a powerful actor to play Lex Luthor, a famous comic book villain. Jesse Eisenberg, on the other hand, graced the big screen. While he isn’t evil, he lacks the power required for this adversary. Many individuals thought the figure was loud, crazy, and insane, almost like the Joker.
