The First Question – Why?
One of the major mysteries surrounding these ancient wonders is why they were erected in the first place. Many historians and Egyptologists believe that the Great Pyramid was erected as an elaborate mausoleum for one of the ancient empire’s Pharaohs, with the smaller pyramids surrounding it housing his wives – but no one knows for certain.
