Shelia is a stunning lioness who has spent her entire life as a show animal and has been compelled to perform at private parties. Her health began to deteriorate swiftly after years of employment as a performance animal. Also, her caretaker could not pay for veterinary care for her pet. That’s when animal rights activists came to her aid. Sadly, it appeared that she was too badly injured to make a full recovery. It was advised that she be put down, but everything changed when something incredible happened. This is exactly what happened to her.

Shelia was one of the Department of Agriculture’s lionesses rescued in July 2009. Many of the lions that year were in terrible condition. Her condition, on the other hand, was particularly severe.

Shelia was severely underweight, feeble, and weak. Those who rescued her knew she didn’t have much hope, but that didn’t stop them from taking a chance and saving her nevertheless. They wanted to give her a chance to improve.
