La Gomera
La Gomera, one of the Canary Islands’ main islands, has steep volcanic mountains as well as dense fern forests with walking paths. It is perhaps the most active volcano. In the Valle Gran Rey canyon, a must-see is La Calera, a whitewashed cliffside village, and the black-sand Atlantic beaches.
