Doctor’s Assessment
Finally, a doctor arrived to inform Richard on his wife’s condition. “She’s stable, but she’s unconscious.” It’s possible that her body is simply resting. “There is currently no cause for concern,” the doctor stated. Richard couldn’t help but be concerned. Why was she still unresponsive? Was she unconscious? The doctor tried to soothe him, but he needed to prove Brianna had been struck by lightning. Nobody knew what to expect because it was such an unusual occurrence. Richard worried if his dear wife would ever wake up.

Seeing Brianna
“Can I see her, doctor?” Richard pleaded. Although the doctor agreed, he warned Richard that she might not respond. He dashed into the ward and instantly noticed Brianna laying motionless, her face colorless. Her burns were bandaged, and she was connected to various beeping machines. Richard took her hand in his. “I apologize, my love. “Please be fine,” he said. He tightened his grip on her fingers when he felt something.
