Fuddruckers says farewell to Waco, Texas, on December 24, ending nearly four decades of serving gourmet hamburgers. Since its launch in February 1985 on North Valley Mills Drive, the idea has grown in popularity thanks to made-to-order burgers, an on-site bakery, big-screen TVs, and a condiment cart that allows guests to customize their meals. Despite bankruptcy, liquidation, and ownership changes involving Pappas Restaurants, Luby’s Inc., and Black Titan LLC, among others, Waco’s Fuddruckers at 1411 N. Valley Mills Drive persevered, overcoming obstacles such as the pandemic.
