Moving Too Quickly
Emily was concerned that their relationship was moving too quickly, but she was also afraid that expressing her concerns might drive Tommy to withdraw. Emily, on the other hand, found herself in an unusual circumstance. Tommy was already talking about marriage after only a month. Emily was taken aback; marriage was far too important a commitment to jump into, especially since her first marriage had ended in catastrophe.
