Emily was ecstatic to hear the news. Knowing she didn’t have to contact her ex or buy new decorations took some of the pressure off her shoulders. She charged her youngest, Peter, with carrying the boxes of decorations down from the attic, wanting him to be as much a part of the event as his older brothers.

Peter, on the other hand, was unsure which boxes contained the decorations and which belonged to Tommy. A rapid decision was taken by the young boy. He’d open all the boxes and take a cursory check to see which one was for Tommy and which had the decoration before, but what he found startled him…
