John Alderton, his husband, is a British actor who began his career in 1963. When John was cast as the chauffeur in Upstairs, Downstairs, he met Pauline. Following that, the two are inextricably linked. They married in 1969 and had three children together, as well as two more from Pauline’s previous marriage. They’ve been married for 52 years and live contentedly in Hampstead, London.
