Suddenly, the boy was scared. “How didn’t I recognize you?” He was confused. He answered by touching the other boy’s face. He yanked his dark hair and added, “Your hair is like mine.” Luke said, “Let’s play,” laughing. “We have the same eyes, but I wear glasses,” the other boy added. The boys’ discovery would change their lives.

Janice was a dedicated single mother who wanted the best for her eight-year-old son Luke. Living in a little Wisconsin town, their life in their little house was simple and predictable. Her daily routine included getting up early, preparing Luke for school, and visiting the bookstore.
