Victor kept staring at Tommy and the book, clearly perplexed as to how this book wound up in the hands of a child. “Are you certain this book belonged to your grandmother?” “Where did she get it?” he inquired of Tommy. Tommy described everything to him while they waited for the expert.

The specialist promptly came at the shop. She replied she’d come as soon as she could and asked if she might go at the book. Tommy assured her that she could, of course. He tried hard not to show that he was frightened about what she was about to tell him!
