His mother told him, “Don’t worry about it,” and “I don’t want to talk about it,” in answer to his inquiries at the time. Adam was too young to completely understand that something was off, yet he was also too old to remain indifferent. His curiosity grew as a result of his mother’s denial. She didn’t, however, move. This finding would put an end to all of that and permanently alter Adam and his family’s lives.

A Letter Nobody Anticipated
Adam finds out at the start of this novel that he has inherited something from his father who has been missing for a long time through a letter from the courts. His father had not spoken to him since his absence fifteen years prior, so he was taken aback. In an attempt to acquire something important, Adam’s mother had declared his father dead. Rather, Adam stood alone as the heir to his father’s wealth. And that “luck” appeared to consist of only one item: a dilapidated trailer.
