At the 2019 World Championships, she broke her own British record and set further records that are still in effect while winning gold in the 200 meters, silver in the 100 meters, and another silver in the 4100 m relay. Asher-Smith, who was only aged 24 years old at the time, became the first Briton to take home three medals from a World Championship. At the 2022 World Championships, she also won a bronze medal in the 200m.
