At Invicta FC 30 on July 21st, 2018, Jinh Yu defeated Minna Grusander to win the vacant Atomweight Championship. Although Grusander won the bout by unanimous decision, many people thought he had won. The two subsequently squared off again at Invicta FC 33 on December 15th, 2018. The match was once more won by Jinh Yu, this time by a split decision, making it the promotion’s first successful title defense.
