Finding Her Calling
Years passed, and Lily’s childhood love for animals blossomed into a career. She studied to become a wildlife rehabilitator, dedicating her life to caring for injured and orphaned animals. Every time she released an animal back into the wild, she remembered the foxes and how they had been her first lesson in love, compassion, and letting go. They had shaped her future in ways she never could have imagined on that snowy winter day.
A Reunion of Sorts
One crisp autumn day, while visiting a wildlife reserve, Lily spotted a group of foxes playing in the distance. Her heart skipped a beat. Could it be? She stood still, watching them, her mind racing back to Snowflake, Frost, Blizzard, and Flurry. Of course, she couldn’t know if they were the same foxes, but the sight filled her with warmth and peace. In her heart, she believed they had found their place in the world.
