The Lake
Jocelyn was unable to recall the route to the lake. More than that, she had no idea where the boat was or even if it still existed. It had been more than 30 years since she had last seen it. Jasper still owned it, right? She was aware that they had once tried to fix it, but the cost was prohibitive. Jocelyn had previously believed that he had allowed it to rot, but she was now unsure.

She Looked For Their Photos
Jocelyn made the decision to go through some old pictures in an effort to locate the lake and, hopefully, the boat as well. She recognized the name of the harbor near the city’s edge from one of the photos, which revived old memories. The last time she and Jasper went sailing, they docked there. She was compelled to go.
