Scrappy Doo – Scooby-Doo

When Scooby-Doo experienced declining ratings in the ‘70s and ‘80s, Hanna-Barbera added Scrappy Doo to the cast. He was the nephew of our favorite great Dane and actually helped boost the ratings in the beginning. However, fans eventually soured on this animated puppy. Viewers found him unlikable, frustrating, and rude. In the live-action adaptation of Scooby-Doo, they turned him into the main villain. Apparently, this was at the behest of James Gunn, the director!

Cole Aaronson – Scrubs

It felt like Cole Aaronson of Scrubs was tailor-made to be hated by fans. Dave Franco portrayed him as a snobby and disrespectful intern that only landed the job because of his parents. After all, they did build the hospital! On top of that, he always hit on Denise and said that he could get away with this, thanks to his parents’ influence. Even though he had his funny lines, he served as a comedic foil for the rest of the crew. Fans despised him, but he did make for a lot of laughs!
