She thought it was a bad idea to scrap planned shows, especially if people had already paid for tickets. To paraphrase her, “they kept movin’ my schedule.” After she dropped out, Kathy Bates was cast as Molly Brown instead. The film earned over $2 billion around the world, making it the second highest-grossing film of all time.
