Agnetha Faltskog
ABBA, the Swedish pop band, is certainly one of the acts that have achieved massive influence around the world. Their hit singles “Dancing Queen” and “Waterloo” have been playing on speakers for decades now. One-fourth of the quartet is Agnetha Faltskog, who got her break once she joined the band. Sadly, they disbanded in the ‘80s. Faltskog found success after going solo and published an autobiography in 2016.
Carly Simon
Carly Simmons released her first album in 1971 which included the hit song “That’s the Way I’ve Always Heard it Should Be.” The album was such a huge success that she decided to release another one just a few months after. It wasn’t until 1972 that Simmons truly rose to fame with the hit single “You’re So Vain”. She continues to perform up to this day and even went on tour with Taylor Swift. She wrote a memoir in 2015 about her childhood and her marriage to singer James Taylor.
