Young American gymnast Bart Conner, who Nadia met years ago, discovered that she hadn’t communicated with anyone since arriving in the US, and he found this suspicious. Conner contacted the show’s creators after learning that Nadia would be giving an interview. When he found out the interview would be held in Los Angeles, he booked a flight there at once. He hired a helicopter to make sure he would make it to the studio in time to make an appearance as a surprise guest. There was simply no other option for him to get to Nadia, so he was forced to take these measures.
