As promised, Detective Williams’ statement was sufficient to get the suspect’s bail revoked. Now comes the long wait for the trial. Delonda was terrified and paranoid the entire time, but she was determined to assist solve the case. This man was a monster who deserved to be punished. The trial got underway quickly.

The prosecutors gave Delonda stern orders not to speak with any other witnesses in the case or discuss the subject with anyone outside of the courthouse. She sat through the first few minutes. She never looked at Howell Emanuel Donaldson when he initially appeared in court. She heard testimony about how he had a bright future but had lost his way when the case began. It was finally her turn to give her testimony.
