An Adjusted Course
They had another half-hour left to cross when Cliff decided to take over the wheel. He knew that they would have to change up the course if they wanted to get to the shore even sooner. After all, they could not tell just how long the fox had left. The sooner they could get out of the boat, the better it would be.

When the boat got struck by a wave, the fox shot up in a panic. It was clearly exhausted and scared. They tried to calm it down by giving it some of the seafood they caught earlier that day. They hoped that it was going to eat the food and regain a little strength.
