Jessie and her team could begin placing basic furniture after the scaffolding was finished and the new home’s primary framework was finished. The handmade woodwork for her home was constructed by a local carpenter she hired named Mike Slater. His gift to the bus made her so happy that she described it as “amazing carpentry” in a post on Instagram. All the kitchen counters, closets, and boardings were set up and ready for use by the time Slater was finished.

As you can see, Jessie was considerate enough to ensure that she wasn’t just oblivious to the fact that the house she was building was formerly a bus. Jessie decided it was only appropriate to display the license plate and the plate that listed who made it inside her house as she had kept both of them from the beginning. By doing so, she paid tribute to everything that had come before and to everyone who had contributed to her receiving this vehicle.
