We have drawings available that you can use for your approvals. Technical drawings are available directly from us. If your district requires size and site-specific engineering drawings, we will work with an engineering firm to create them for you. Architectural drawings are available through David Cruey, one of the owners. They can work with you directly to design your floor plan and help you obtain permits. Technical drawings start at $850 and can cost $2500 or more depending on the area and requirements. It usually takes 2 to 4 weeks to complete the standard technique.

There may be times when the location requires more engineering work and collaborating with the permitting authority takes time and changes need to be made to the engineering plans for your bow hut. We have found that the length of the approval process varies greatly from region to region. It’s always best to check with your local permitting authority as one of the first steps in building an arch hut. Our DIY upgrade options include a roof panel color upgrade (choose from 23 colours, including Energy Star certified colours), a fireplace trowel and an insulation upgrade to R25 for the curved walls.
