Her Words
The letter was full of wit and Taylor’s typical sash. She began by having a light conversation with her former self. Reminding her of when she wrote this letter, why she wrote it, and so on. Then, she wastes no time and begins writing/commanding her future self to perform tasks. She begins with what she considers to be the most important at the time she wrote the letter—her diploma from high school.
Her Parents Were Moved
She congratulates her future self on graduating from high school right away. She is aware that it is possible that she will not graduate, but she will not accept this. In the letter, she says that she should go back to school if she didn’t graduate. After all, she needs to get that degree. She is unyielding in her refusal to accept no for an answer. Her parents were moved to tears as they read the words she had written.
