6. Carol Willick and Susan Bunch (Jane Sibbett & Jessica Hecht)
Ross had a good relationship with Carol (Jane Sibbett), his ex-wife and the mother of his son Ben, despite the difficulties he faced. Although Carol left Ross for Susan (Jessica Hecht), her future wife, before the program even started, it couldn’t be said of Susan all the time. When Carol’s parents decided not to attend the wedding, Ross essentially saved the day by leading Carol down the aisle. It was a fairly groundbreaking network television episode at the time.

5. Judy and Jack Geller (Christina Pickles & Elliott Gould)
Ross and Monica’s parents provided some of the comedy genius’s more underappreciated moments. In their roles as this couple’s parents, Jack (Elliott Gould) and Judy (Christina Pickles) were excellent. Jack was more relaxed than Judy, who had strong opinions, was unduly critical of Monica, and even a touch flirtatious. He might be the one to speak sense. He undoubtedly made people laugh, and he was often there for his kids anytime they needed someone to lean on. If only he could get a piece of the lucrative sun-dried tomato market.
