We know Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Joey, and Ross made Friends into a massively popular sitcom for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004. The show however also featured some of the funniest and most enduring supporting actors in television. Here are some of the most memorable Friends recurring characters. We can’t forget such guest stars as Ben Stiller as Tommy or Larry Hankin as Mr. Heckles!
10. Marcel
Ross was friends with a monkey named Marcel for the show’s first two seasons. The six pals were irritated by Marcel’s habit of humping practically anything, even Scramble tiles and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” But such an animal was not suited to life in New York City. Ross moved Marcel to the renowned San Diego Zoo in order to give him a better life, and this helped him land a job in Hollywood.
9. Paul Stevens (Bruce Willis)
For his performance as the father of Ross’ much younger lover and former student, Elizabeth, Bruce Willis won his second Primetime Emmy Award (Alexandra Holden). Paul struggled to accept the elder Ross’s relationship with his daughter, and he had no issue telling Ross about it. Ross’ situation might have gotten worse when Paul started dating Rachel. At Paul’s cabin, we had an amusing encounter during which we discovered what Paul actually thought of himself.
