Celine Wasn’t Planned
Celine was born into a huge family! There are 14 Dion siblings in total, and she is the youngest of them all. The family actually did not want any more kids because it was already difficult enough to raise 13 children. However, it looks like fate planned Celine’s birth anyway! When she was a baby, she had to sleep in a cabinet drawer since they did not have enough beds for them all. She has come a long way since then.

Her Husband Put His Foot Down
Even though she was initially apprehensive about “My Heart Will Go On”, her husband asked her to give it a shot. She explained what happened when she was interviewed by Jonathan Ross: “[Angélil] said, ‘Let’s just do a demo. Let’s give it a try and we’ll see after.’ The demo is actually the real recording. I never sang the song again.” It turned out to be a very good idea. They released the song in 1997, and it went on to be a big hit. She took home a number of awards for it, and it remains her most famous song.
