The Halftime Show Was Awesome
Last year’s halftime show was a success, despite the lack of fans in the stadium when The Weeknd performed exceptionally well. However this year saw Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and a surprise cameo by 50 Cent! The Super Bowl halftime concert was a love letter to Los Angeles, and it certainly delivered.
Fans were ecstatic, with some claiming it was the best Super Bowl halftime show ever, on social media.
Eminem Took The Knee
During the star-studded Super Bowl halftime show, Eminem took a knee, which became one of the most talked-about moments of the year’s biggest athletic event. On Super Bowl Sunday, the 15-time Grammy winner dropped down on one knee and clutched his head while playing “Lose Yourself.” It appeared to be a nod to free agent quarterback and activist Colin Kaepernick, who spearheaded national anthem kneeling demonstrations in 2016 to highlight police brutality and racial inequality.
