Kolmanskop, a desert mining town in Namibia, has been completely overrun by sand. It was formerly a prosperous town created in German architectural style with resources taken from the diamond mines. However, following the first World War, it lost it’s spark and was eventually abandoned in 1954. Since then, the village has steadily being reclaimed by the desert.
