Sean Astin has two fathers, so we’re not sure how easy it was for him to play Bill in the Adam Sandler-led comedy-drama Click. After Sandler’s character Michael grows heavy and obsessed with work, Astin plays Bill, Donna’s second husband. Of course, many people can’t get Astin’s bright-red Speedo out of their heads, but at least he was there for the kids when their biological father couldn’t. Doesn’t that sound a little like his real life?

His Comedic side
Sean Astin was known for his roles in dramas, epics, and fantasy films until 2004. Until the release of Adam Sandler’s 50 First Dates, he didn’t have much of a comedy on his record. Astin plays Doug, Drew Barrymore’s character Lucy’s brother, in the film. Doug is a mesh crop top-wearing, performance-enhancer popping, and lisping sibling, so this isn’t your average brother. And, despite the fact that this all seems horrible, he’s a wonderful brother who only wants his amnesia-stricken sister to live a happy life.
