She is most known for her portrayal of Valene Ewing on the primetime television series Knots Landing, a Dallas spin-off. Joan has been a member of The Actor Studio since 1966 when she made her Broadway debut in Barefoot in the Park. Van Ark was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play and won a Theater World Award. Joan’s acting career took off after that, and she never looked back. During her success, she fell in love with and married John Marshall in 1966.

Cathy Podewell – 57 Years Old
Cathy Podewell is an American actress best known for playing Cally Harper Ewing in the television series Dallas. Cathay was inspired by her paternal grandparents, who were also actresses. She earned her bachelor’s degree in theater arts and dance from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Cathay went on to star in a number of films and television series after that. She met the love of her life, Steven Glueck, somewhere along the way. In May of 1989, the pair married. They eventually had three children. Podewell took a sabbatical from acting after having children to focus on motherhood. She did, however, eventually return to the industry.
